A big thank you to Martine for her professional assessment of my back problem. I find her highly qualified, very understanding and a lovely person. She worked through the pain in my lower back, which has been very beneficial. Your expert abilities are recommendable. Thanks!
I went to the massage clinic at Warwick and saw their therapist Martine for a neck problem. Martine was very professional in her assessment of me and understood what my problem was.
Martine worked on my head, neck and shoulders for 60 minutes leaving feeling fantastic, I could feel the positive change in my body leaving me with free movement and reduced pain. I would defiantly recommend booking in with Martine for a massage appointment. Thank you.
Just wanted to give feedback on my treatments with Martine, I have now been a regular customer with Perth Massage for most of the year and Martine has been my therapist.
I originally was recommended Perth Massage through a friend based on great results she had with pain she had. I have had a great deal of pain on my hips and lower back for a long time and whilst I used to go to an Osteopath, I found that there was limited improvement and pain was recurring.
Since I switched to getting remedial massage with Martine she has worked through this pain and I rarely experience issues with these areas anymore. It has been hugely beneficial as I like to exercise and these painful areas previously prevented me from being able to do this.
Martine is a lovely person and very well qualified, she understands all the muscle areas thoroughly and knows exactly how to deal with all sorts of pain areas.
Many years ago I had an accident where I hurt my back. Since then I get occasional lower back pains which can get quite severe and hinder me at work and in day to day life. Every time I feel the pain coming up I get Gavin from the Massage and injury management clinic to treat my back and glutes and it works wonders.
Gavin really has a great feeling for finding the sore and tight muscles and loosens everything up to a point where there is no more pain and I can keep going with life pain free. I can really recommend Gavin as a massage therapist as he helps me a lot and is a wonderful person.
A few years ago I had a car accident and required treatment on my neck due to whiplash. I had visited other people for pain treatment, but eventually end up with Malcolm. He was the first masseur who was able to give me considerable relief, and as a consequence I remained getting treated from for the next two months. He helped me greatly with my pain levels and my recovery.
Three years later I had an accident and broke my neck. After my operation, I asked to be referred to Malcom because of the pain. He treated me for four months until the pain was overcome. I was taking medication but not getting any relief from painkillers. Malcolm helped me enormously, and I would not hesitate to recommend his expert ability to anyone.
Malcolm’s marvellous massage: Pain. Chronic pain. Every joint, every muscle. This describes me, a sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia.
Does massage help?
You bet it does.
Two years ago I was given the good news – it wasn’t going to kill me, and the bad news – I had a double life sentence. Being the control freak that I am I wasn’t prepared just to sit and take the pills, so I started investigating. I have now built up a “Healthy Me” programme which along with the traditional pills includes massage, exercise, hypnotherapy, and meditation and lifestyle changes.
How can massage help when it hurts to touch your muscles?
My muscles are tense and massage relaxes them. Professional masseurs, like Malcolm and his team, have control over their strength. My first few massages Malcolm’s touch was feather light.
Now the applied pressure is deeper and stronger as over time my muscles have built up strength and flexibility. When my muscles are tense they pull on my joints which then hurt too, ( or visa versa; hurting joints cause stress which results in muscle tension). By massaging and relaxing the muscles it relieves the joint pain so I win both ways.
My fortnightly massages are something I look forward to and always feel better after.”
Thank you “Gentle Giant”.
Thoroughly recommend: I have been a regular client of the Massage and Injury Management Clinic for a considerable amount of time now and have had Katey as my regular therapist for over two years. I have found Katey to be a friendly, intuitive, hardworking and professional masseuse, who has expert knowledge in deep tissue massage and has greatly assisted with my pain management.
Katey has always been able to pinpoint the exact areas needing treatment, and can easily vary the intensity of treatment required for a specific problem. I can thoroughly recommend Katey to anyone with simple or complex pain/stress issues.
An amazing job!: I first visited Katey at the Massage Clinic a few months after having shoulder surgery. I had extreme nerve pain due to the tension in my muscles surrounding my shoulder.
I had been to physiotherapy and even though the movement was improving, the pain was still very intense. After a few visits the pain had reduced significantly and I was able to finally sleep at night. Katey did an amazing job!
Expertise and quality of treatment: For any professional athlete or social athlete, competing on the sporting field is what matters most. Having worked with Olympic and world class athletes, Malcolm has developed an enviable and acclaimed skill set in helping his clients to manage injuries, increase functionality and performance through cutting edge practise.
Malcolm and his team come highly recommended for their professional approach and attitude at all times surpassed only by their expertise and quality of treatment.
Great relief from the treatment: I just wanted to pass on my thanks for your thorough and professional appraisal on my recent back injury. I have had great relief from the treatment yourself and Katey have offered me. This is one of the reasons I have followed your practice for the last 15 or so years.
As you know I have recommended family, friends and workmates to you and will continue to do so. Thanks again.
I would recommend anyone to try this treatment: I had been suffering with an Achilles problem for over 12 months and have had various treatments including cortisone injections, a platelet rich plasma injection and physiotherapy, none of which worked. It was suggested to me by my podiatrist to try sports massage as it may work on my injury and I was willing to try anything at this point. I booked in for a session at the Massage and Injury Management Clinic.
I was apprehensive about it working, but after a few massage sessions my Achilles has significantly improved almost to the point where I can consider running again! I would recommend anyone to try this treatment first if they are injured before they consider anything else.
Relieved the pain: I’ve suffered with tension headaches and neck pain for several years. I’d tried everything from chiropractors, physiotherapists and Chinese massage. Then I tried the massage clinic and have finally found something that has relieved the pain. I’m grateful to the massage clinic for giving me my life back.
Treating me for over 20 years: Malcolm Calcutt has been treating me for over 20 years. His massage skills and customised exercise regimes have enabled me to manage my manual handling job and overcome injuries.
Delighted with the results: I was referred to Malcolm at the Massage And Injury Clinic some 16 years ago, and have been delighted with the results. I used to live with back pain much of the time. Malcolm is able to determine and treat muscular stress, tension and trauma with good results. I’ve received helpful advice on posture, physical motor mechanics and stretches to help maintain healthy muscles and good posture, which have made a difference. When I injured myself, like I did 4 years ago with an L3/4 bulging disk, Malcolm’s treatment was a vital ingredient to my recovery.
I needed more that just a spinal adjustment and an electrical impulse machine which reduces inflammation, though they were and are still a necessary and important part of my ongoing treatment, along with a good stretching programed, exercise; diet and adequate water intake, all combining to help create a healthier lifestyle, but only if I’m diligent enough to do the right thing daily, which sadly, I’m not, but I do try. I’m enjoying life a little more these days, because I’m not being worn down by constant back pain and muscle fatigue.
Though I do have my bad times, as I forget that I shouldn’t lift heavy things, especially when I’m fatigued. I know what it’s like to work with unbearable pain. I’m a laborer who works 12-hour days, both day and night shifts, and have done so for 30 years. Thankfully, the past 15 years have been easier than the 15 years before that.
If you’re suffering from back or muscle pain or your muscle and skeletal system is not performing the way you think it should? You need someone who is able to determine what is happening with your muscle groups and who is able to work on those muscles to bring relief and help restore vitality.
However, be aware, that to get the best results, especially if you are carrying an injury, you may need a more holistic approach which may not be limited to just deep tissue remedial therapy.
I’m grateful for the help and positive results achieved through the treatment provided by Malcolm at The Massage And Injury Management Clinic and highly recommend Malcolm as the best Deep Tissue Remedial Masseur I have ever uncounted, that’s why I stopped looking and have stuck with Malcolm these past 16 years.
